museums, theater and more. The Jorgensen Center for the Performing
Arts presents performances of the Connecticut Repertory Theater,

Tour the home of American icon Mark Twain. Mingle with more
than 5,000 years of art at the Wadsworth Atheneum, the nation's
oldest public art museum. Visit the Old State House, the oldest
state capitol in America. Or go back even further in time
with a visit to Dinosaur State Park. The Bushnell Memorial
Hall hosts symphony, opera, ballet and more. Attend a concert
at the Hartford Civic Center or at the Meadows Music Theatre's
indoor-outdoor amphitheater.
If you're looking for the rural beauty of New England's small
towns, visit northeastern Connecticut's "Quiet Corner,"
dotted with town greens, farms and historic homes, including
the 1776 Coventry homestead of Connecticut hero Nathan Hale,
who is remembered for his last words, "I only regret
that I have but one life to lose for my country."
Drive about an hour from the Nathan Hale Inn and even more
attractions await: Providence, Old Sturbridge Village, Dodd
Stadium, Foxwoods Casino, Mohegan Sun Resort and Mystic Seaport.
Newport and Boston are less than two hours away, and New York
